Background
In 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the Global Strategy to Accelerate the Elimination of Cervical Cancer, committing to its worldwide eradication. As a milestone initiative in global public health, the strategy impacts the health and well-being of women all over the world. The year 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Fourth World Conference on Women, and the Global Summit of Women will convene in Beijing again. Prof. Qiao Youlin, Associate Editor-in-Chief of Cancer Biology & Medicine, dedicates to curating a special issue on Cervical Cancer Elimination. This special issue aims to promote academic dialogue and advance the establishment of a more equitable and accessible cervical cancer prevention and control system. It will systematically focus on health equity, unmet medical care, scientific advances, policy innovations, global efforts and strategies for accelerating cervical cancer elimination, particularly in low-resource settings.
We cordially invite scholars worldwide to contribute latest research findings and practical experiences to this special issue.
