EWS-FLI-1 is a transcription factor with a pivotal function and it is known to bind to a special DNA sequence. Research has demonstrated that the EWS-FLI-1 fusion gene occurrence is related to the EFT, and it has been used to diagnose, treat and serve as a basis for EFT prognosis. We have briefly summarized the progress of the EWS-FLI-1 fusion gene in basic and clinical investigation within the past several years.
